Gas strut suppliers
I am searching for a supplier of gas struts suitable to use on a blanket box lid. I have been to a few sites on the net but seem to cater only for the automotive industry. I have seen suitable ones on ute toolboxes but they don't have any brand name or manufacturers details.

G'Day "peajayem",
You could try Universal Engineers Supplies International Product as they have a big range with all sorts of stroke & pressure ratings.
They call them "Gas Springs & Support Stays".
Have a look they may have what you are looking for; I've purchased from them over many years whilst in industry!
Cheers, Crowie.

You could also take a look at Aussie Gas Strut. They manufacture a wide range of struts including made to order.

I would instead of gas struts use so called constant torque hinges. They are adjustable and low profile. See here http://www.reell.com/index.php?page=hinges

Gas strut suppliers
Thanks to all who replied to my query about gas struts for a blanket box. Going with the "Local Bloke" this time but all good info for the future.
