just an update on the boxes . Take into account I've moved house ( twice ) , been to the Philippines for four months ( any one want to buy a scuba dive resort ) and have Charlie to keep occupied .
Still trying to source handles with label holders and finding it very hard even with the internet .So far it has cost nothing to build but I fear the handles will be expensive the quote was $6 and I need 56 of them .

    Regards
    Rick

Rick - try box maker's brass wear - I got some from him at the wood show for about $2 each - the price may be a little different but I think they might be what you are looking for. I don't have all my bookmarks at home, does someone else have their website?

How long did all the boxes take to make?

    cheers

    Thanks Wendy ,
the boxes were made from offcuts of my house exterior . i clad my house in tas gum palings , like fence palings but longer

I was real motivated when i got the gifkins and knocked the boxes up roughly ina weekend but it has taken much more than that to sand , glue and varnish them .
thanks wendy for the tip on the lable handles .

    Maybe another approach... here

Then add any knobs you want, check out Ray's entire range... good prices buying in bulk.

finally getting somewhere with this project . Couldn't get the handles I wanted , really just could not justify $380 for handles on a project that using recycled timber had otherwise cost me nothing but time . Good work out for the gifkins jig and maybe my shed will be a bit more organized , doubt it though .
