Glenford's tool auctions - QLD
Has anybody been to the Glenford's auctions that have happened so far in QLD? There is one coming up in my area soon, and I am thinking of going, but I would need to rearrange my schedule and take a day off work. I would love to know if it is worth it. What sort of prices are things going for? Specifically I would look at a welding helmet, but may look at other items as well, depending on price. Anyone been?
The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

I guess you mean the liquidation auctions.
They listed on the Lloyds Auctioneers website.
It shows the dates and times for each store.
Until I read your post, I was planning a trip to the Nerang store after spending several hours last night googling and looking at power tools online. Never knew they'd folded. Have to rethink now.

Yeah, I found the ates and times, and there are catalogues you can look at too. I just wanted to know if anyone has any idea how much items tend to go for - close to RRP, a bit below RRP, half price, less?

I went to the one in Slacks Creek today.
I picked up 6 fatmax trigger clamps for $100 for the lot - RRP is about $40 ea
I also picked up about 50 router bits (Flai mostly and including a $200 RRP CMT tongue and groove set) for $175
Seemed like a steal to me.
Toolkits and such seemed to go for about %50 to %60 of RRP.
I wasn't there for the whole thing so I missed out on things. Thus I am going to hit the Capalaba auction on Tues.
Hope that helps.

Since Glenfords is all over red rover, does anyone know who to get a hold of their suppliers or have any information?
I am chasing a part for a Rexon Thickness Planer MB1931 and I am having no luck at all with where I can get one. Tried locally, interstate and even overseas but no one seems to have any information. The rubber belt on it has been damaged and need it urgently.

Hi
Done a search on MB1931 It seems that the Sherwood from Timbercon is the same machine so I would suggest the part is the same one
Cheers Rod
