If you have a lot to do, see how much local cabinet makers will charge to run it through their edgebander. I know it's cheating, but paying for an hour or 2 of their shop time beats spending a day gluing and trimming by hand (been there, done that)

And your local cabinet maker has the equipment to do a far better job than you will be able to.

Yes they will. A good edgebander should be capable of trimming the edges as it’s applying edging. 👍

Worth getting if you regularly edgeband, and don't want to always farm out the work.

Sorry, you need to read more, either the original post (2mm solid timber edging) or the info on the links you provided, (flush cutters handle to 0.635mm, edge trimmer handles to 0.5mm). Somewhere along the way you missed the relevant pieces of information. The only things that the flush cutters and edge trimmers would handle that are found in OZ would be the ultra thin timber veneer edging or similar thickness plastic edging, they won't even handle 1mm PVC or ABS edging which is about as low down the scale as a cabinet maker will go.
