Default Gluing a radiata pine frame on particle board

    Hi,
I have some particle board and I am making a table top. Will the following work?

I want to glue a mitered frame around a center of particle board. I thought to glue this frame around the edge of the particle board and kreg pocket hole joint frame pieces together.

Does anyone think this would pose a problem with the strength or longevity of the table top?

    Cheers for feedback

Should work, but I think the particleboard will be more of a problem with longevity than anything else

    Default thanks

thanks for the feed back. I know the particle board is not the best but I have a stack of it in the store room and for schools money is always an issue. It is veneered so it looks ok.

thanks again. will post pictures of final product

    cheers
