    Default Green Camphor Laurel Slabs

hi there, new to this site and keen to learn. Can I use a camphor slab that has been recently cut? Want to make a kitchen benchtop from it. I understand it may shrink a little, but will it crack, bow and shrink heaps, where eventually my top will look crap. I was thinking of epoxy resining the top? thanks.

Pretty sure the general consensus will be to let it dry for a few years.
