Guitar body
Hi all,
I am going to attempt to make an Solid Body Electric guitar.
I will have to join the 2 pieces (200 x 600x 50) of Ash together.
What would be the best & strongest way to join these 2 boards.?
I will need to route out for the electronics and neck after they are joined.
Any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Guitar body
Greg
Have made several guitar bodies and have always joined timber
butted together and used Titebond Wood Glue. It appears to be the same as Triton Wood Glue. No biscuits etc. I do not know if ASH is an oily wood, in which case throw my procedure out the window. The bodies I have made are out of mahogany (African) and South American, and also poplar and cotton wood. all have been very good projects. Necks are and item which require a few Jigs to make. If I can be of more help email me.
Regards
Mike
