guitar stand
I actually have a metal stand for my electric guitar, but thought it would be a great idea to make something special for my classical guitar. A show piece for home maybe.
I had a look at the site sprog suggested, it's a start.
Thanks to everyone.

G'day Bill,
I've been toying with the same idea. An ex of mine used to always complain about how lots of stuff related to guitars (apart from the guitars themselves) is black. I made a couple of basic stands out of recycled hardwood a few years ago but they were pretty average. But since I've been milling I've had the pleasure of milling some truly unique logs that have produced very individual timber. The idea was rekindled when I cut a slab from the top of a log that had the same shape as my Fender strat so I have put the timber aside to dry and will one day get to it and hope my creative juices start flowing. My idea it to make a piece that looks as good standing alone as it does with a guitar in it. I'll keep you updated when I get to it.
Any chance of getting the link to the site that sprog suggested?
Let me know how you go with your stand.

That old link no longer works
Just Google wood guitar stand or wood guitar cradle should get a few links
Here's one
