One for the guitarists/luthiers
I posted this on the Links forum last night, but perhaps it will have more visibility in here.
I found this link over on the MIMF site today.
It's a pointer to a video of the making of a replica of Eric Clapton's ES 335 that he played in Cream and on "Crossroads".
The people who bought EC's guitar at auction ( for $800,000+ ) took it to Gibson who made a run of exact replicas of it.
The video is the story of how they did it.
It's a liitle long at around 55 minutes and you'll need broadband to download it but it's well worth a look for anybody who is interested in guitars.
