New guy, need help calculating angles
Hey guys and gals, I've been reading for a month or two now and i've only just signed up.
I'm 18 and studying my 2nd year of joinery at college.
I'm currently building a 'lining' to go inside a fire place as the is a gap at the back because it was originally used on a large iron fire, the surround sat over the edges of the fire.
A smaller fire is now being used so there is a gap, i'm making a lining to slot into place and cover it up.
The lining is sloping in at 45 degree's.
I need help calculating this angle:
I originally thought it would just be 45, but with the actually lining sloping in it turns out its not.
So does anyone know of a formula for it? Here's some other pictures to help.
Thanks alot.

Here is a simple program I wrote that does the exact same thing, but doesn't require Excel. Just unzip it to your desktop and run it. No installation necessary. Its only a 5k download.

Set a piece of 75 x 19 timber in a mitre box at 45 degrees and cut a 45 degree mitre cut. The angles required will then be apparent.
