    Default Hand cutting dovetails

Here is a link to some class notes I prepared on hand-cutting through and half-blind dovetails. These are the methods that work for me. I cut the pins first, because it makes it easier to mark out the tails if you have narrow pins.

    Good notes Alex.

Can I have your permission to distribute these notes to students?

Great set of concise notes Alex, thanks for sharing. Much appreciated by this newb.

Looking at some of the stunning pieces on your web site gallery...jeez I've got a long way to go.

Still, as I'll probably live to 'round 150, best just to settle back and enjoy the journey.
    Cheers

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for sharing. I think I have a hard-copy of these notes (well, the 4 year old version, anyway!) from the course I did back then. Every now and then I come across them, read them and think that I *really* should do some dovetails .

    Cheers,
