Hi Bob, sounds like the same one I have, Single belt??? I sometimes have trouble with tracking, can be a few things, first thing I do if a belt won't track is turn it around, be careful tho if the belt is an overlapped glued join, not a good thing to reverse in this case but if it is a taped join they can go either direction altho I first put it on it according to the arrows.

Make sure air supply is up to pressure, I adjusted the comp down for another job and forgot to turn it back up before I used the sander and belt tracking gave me grief.

Make sure there are no air leaks in any of the control lines as this upsets the balance/feedback system that makes the belt oscilate back and forth. I had one of the plastic fittings leaking and it caused tracking probs. The tubing itself will perish as well, at some point I shall replace all the tubing and fittings with Festo or the like.
To test the oscillation if you put something (a finger) WITHOUT IT RUNNING into the flow of air between the two tubes facing each other mounted in a U shaped metal bracket on the other side to the normal operating side of the machine you should see the top roller kick sideways two or three degrees, if it doesn't move could be something that needs further investigating, the belt normally runs in this gap, the belt edge interferes with this airflow as it moves and blocks the airflow which then kicks the roller and belt moves away allowing airflow in a continual cycle of back and forth.

Then there is the tracking adjustment lever, I have moved this a few times, I usually have done this with it running, adjust a little at a time to see how much effect it has and be ready on the e. stop in case belt goes off too quick, usually takes a few goes to understand the cryptic symbols indicating which way to go, that might just be me tho!!!

Do you have the manual? I have one that came with the machine.

    Hope this helps

    Pete
