Help for a young one "Cubby House"
hi everyone this is my first post,
I am in year 12 and doing design tech (woodwork and metal work)
I am to build something for the whole year, i have chosen a cubby house for my little cousin. I was wondering if anyone could help with any hints or tips in regards to building a cubby house and what sort of joints/wood/frame work can be used in making one. Basically the more complex it is, the more marks, we get.
Any ideas of help from some that have build cubbys, if anyone has photos of the construction phase that would be great also!
thank you

Howdy fass66coupe,
Look at lots of designs on the net.
Decide on the general shape and size.
Look at the standard size of materials and work around those to minimise waste.
Set your budget and work around that.
Talk to you Design Tech teacher and let him/her be your guide.
Post a few design ideas up here and I'm sure plenty of people will offer some advice.
Good Luck
Kevin

Here's mine: https://www.woodworkforums.com/f11/wi...se-pics-92877/
My first suggestion - ask your end users (the child and the parents!) what they want / don't want before you get too far along.Cheers, Richard
