Default Help needed for Glue Smell

Hi everyone, good afternoon from Thailand.
I've just made a couple of kitchen cabinets for a friend of mine. He wanted a laminate finish, but wanted the same inside & out.
I used Wilson Art Formica & used a contact adhesive to glue the Formica onto MDF. It has been installed over a month & there is still a strong smell of glue.
Besides leaving the doors to the cabinets open & the doors & windows, is there any other way to get rid of the smell.
I hope someone can help, we are both getting grief off his wife, who wants to use them, but does not want everything smelling of Glue.
    Thanks everyone

I doubt it. The only way the smell will go is if the gasses that cause it are allowed to escape.

People say that small trays of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) help with fridge smells, maybe they will help here as well.

I would suggest putting it out in the sun for a day or two if you can or warming it up somehow.

The smell of the glue will be from volatile aromatic compounds. If you heat it up you speed up the rate at which these leave the glue.
Same thing for new carpet, furniture etc.

Thanks BoneInspector, at the moment we are trying Elans remedy, but if that does not work, we will try yours.
    Thanks again

    Try burning some candles.

i once (back in the old days) used to frequent a gym that was completely and thoroughly painted over a weekend. By Monday there was absolutely no smell. When I asked the proprietor the secret, he told me he used scented candles for the weekend.

Thanks Bohdan, not sure but I think it's sorted. My friend wife put a bag of liquid softener for washing clothes in there, & all the smell has gone.
For how long I don't know, but she's happy. Thanks to all who replied
