    Default Help identifying timber?

    Hi,

    Can anyone identify the type of timber of this slab? I'm looking to buy and the seller doesn't know. Apparently it's quite lightweight for the size; about 1.2m long.

    Perhaps White Cedar

    Go here Woodsong Fine Furniture :: Timber and click on the white cedar sample - bottom right of the timber swatches.

    Very light timber. Not very good for furniture.
