    Default Help with Lamination.........I got no Idea :-[

    Gidday,

    I've tried a few searches and havent had any luck yet..................I was wondering if members could help me with this one.....................Whats the best way to laminate (glue together) MAsonite or hardboard.

    Any help really appreciated....................I think I've heard people mention to use contact cement and if thats the case "What is it, generic brand etc etc and where do I get it??????

    Oh yeah its for a Jig I'm working on...............

    Just get some selleys contact adheasive in the red tin(heat rated). Used it before on masonite had no trouble with it, used on car audio which is a quite harsh enviroment for wood and glue.

    You might want to check around and see if there is a cabinet shop with a cold press. That would be the very best way to it.

    Gidday All,

    Well after taking Harry's advice on how to laminate some Masonite I went down to me local mitre 10 and got a can a quick grip..............Just remember when your using this stuff to be in a well ventilated area and have a bit of mineral turps for any clean up work...............cough cough strong fumes!!!!

    I got no dramas with this kind a glue................she was a pretty simple affair to glue up...................Once she cures to a solid bond I'll flush trim the edges with me new router Oh yeah the yellow things are real handy n cost under $2.00
