Question Help - panel thicknessing/sanding service in Melb?

    Hi all,

I have 16 Camphor Laurel panels (400mm-500mm wide, 500mm-900mm long) glued up from narrower planks (see attached pic). They are nominally 28mm thick. However, some of them are slightly bowed and cupped (3-5mm max).

These are intended to be the panels in a frame-and-panel project that I have planned. They have been sitting like this for several months and I don't think they will move any more.

Can anyone suggest how I might go about getting them thicknessed flat? Ideally, someone who might have an industrial drum sander and is willing to provide the service for a fee?

I'm not too fussed about the exact thickness (ideally, I'd like them to be at least 22mm thick), as long as they are reasonably flat (say, to within 1mm across the width and 2mm across the length).

    Cheers,

    Rab.
