Help me to restore a small wood cabinet
I got a small solid wood cabinet yesterday. not sure what kind of wood it is, but its v old, scuff marks, scratches , had been in shed for years i guess. i want to make it look new. Dont know where to start from. should i stain it to the color i want? trying to find a all in one product to finish off the job. any advice pls?

Might be an idea to post up some pics so some of the more experienced members here can advise you of which direction would be best.
If it's very old it may be made of timber that would finish better without resorting to a stain.
Also in my experience, all-in-one finishes are not much good.
Steven.
