HELP! Seeking Workshop in Brisbane.
Hello All,
I have just completed my year at Sturt School For Wood and need to rent access to machinery and a bench. I'm in Holland Park (originally from Melbourne).
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Adrian.

Hi Alex, I have spoken to Roy about bench space but he is busy with his school and i was looking for something more longer term where I had access evenings and weekends.
Hi Dai Sensei,
I think that will be my next step, unfortunately brisbane doesn't have rentable bench space similar to Melb or Syd.

Good Luck with your search for some space.
Over the past couple of years I have toyed with the idea of renting out my workshop on this kind of basis. I have a well equipped shop that I use only on weekends ....it has table saw, band saw, drum sander, drill press, top of the line scroll saw, thicknesser, lathe, RAS , SMCS, Spindle & disc sander, plenty of bench space & wood storage area and much more but I am afraid the numbers didn't stack up.
As I am the only one using the workshop, I can get away without insurance for personal injury from the machines.....once I let someone into the workshop to use the equipment, I am obliged to take out insurance and that can be quite expensive for a workshop as well as complying to a whole set of WH&S rules that are not necessary as a sole user. I would not take the chance without insurance.
You have to find a place that goes full tilt at renting the space and therefore has enough customers to cover the extra costs. I'd love to help people out by allowing them to use my gear but I am afraid the cons out way the pros.
Cheers
Skot
