    Default I'm needing a few hundred size 20 biscuits...suggestions?

    The $9-11.00 per bag of 50 is not working for me...
    My current project will account for another 280 or so...

    Default Biscuts.

    Hi David,
    Knew an old chap, & he made his own.
    Looked around & found 3mm. MDF, cut into strips, then cut to length, traced onto MDF, Dust Mask & sanded to size.
    Cost = Time.
    Worked for him.
    Regards,
    issatree.

    Pac man has the cheapest lead. Only $44.00 per 1000 plus $13.42 postage. Good value I reckon.

    Some years ago, when self employed, I bought a box of 1000 from a Cabinet Making Supplier. Probably what the Pacman has suggested. Yes its an economical way to buy them but just a word of warning......keep the remainder in a sealed plastic bag to keep out any moisture. Because they are thin pieces of timber they are subject to sucking in any moisture in the air and swelling, OK ever so slightly, but if they do swell you will have trouble getting them into the slots.
    Just do it!

    Kind regards Rod

    Default Thanks everybody...

    I had an email reply from Howard at Bix last evening giving me timings so I ordered and paid for a box...
    5-7 days delivery. Not bad, and I got 630 for $43.00 delivered!

    Yep I heard about the moisture thing. Mine live in a series of plastic jars with sealed lids...

    For swollen biscuits: just put several in the vice, tighten firmly, wait for a few minutes then remove and use immediately. Basically what was done to them at the factory, just with a BIG machine.
