    Question

G'day gros and welcome to woodies" heaven.

So many questions! So little time before Christmas!

    OK:

#Better to use dried as the boards will be back sawn and very likely to cup -i.e bend across the width.

#Should be someone in Rocky with a sander to take that - when it's dry is best.

#Bar should be at comfortable leaning height! For me that is about 1100mm

    # I assume you will want shelves etc under the bar, if so just build a kitchen bench type set up with a solid timber frame. Any dried inexpensive timber will do.

#Any finish will darken the timber (Actually brings out the natural colour) I would use Feast and Watsons "Weathershield" Excellent product and very good for UV resistance.
