Help with Woodman ts222 go
Hello everyone, my name is Steve and I’m fairly new to this forum but love it already, I live in Darwin where it’s nigh on impossible to get good quality machinery so everything comes from online where the freight charges are crippling, anyway, I was lucky to get a Woodman 12” ts222 sliding table saw on gumtree for $300, it was very rough but I’ve had a blast restoring it, repainted, rewired by a sparkie mate, new bearings in arbor, brought the cast iron back to new, new blade etc, it’s bloody heavy which I like, it’s a huge improvement on the crappy Hitachi table saw I was using, got stung there, I’ve read a little thru this forum about these saws and everything seems positive, the couple of questions I would like to ask you all are, firstly room is tight so would like to take sliding component of and put either a router wing on or another cast wing, would anyone know where to source either, have be on Timbercon site but none right size, secondly, the fence is a bit hows your father so would appreciate thoughts on a good fence, I like the looks of the Incra fence, lastly, now that it’s fairly decent should I hang onto it and invest a bit more or sell it and get something like a Bailey or a Harvey, looked into a Harvey but it was $900 just for the frieght, anyway lads look forward to your thoughts, cheers Stevo

Steve seems to have disappeared after the above 2 posts, last seen on board in September 2018. If you want specific info from him I suggest you send him a personal message (click on his username in one of his posts above and select PM). That way the system will send an email advising him of your message.
My reading of his first post is that he purchased a rough TS222 to replace a Hitachi table saw and has done a lot of work to bring it to decent presentable condition. He was then enquiring about continuing to upgrade it with a better fence system or sell it and update again.I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Ts222
Gday Siro, yes I did buy the Woodman and I bought an Incra super system, router wing and router lift, it’s awesome, saved a load of $$ by not buying new, I didn’t get a lot of positive feed back here so I sourced it thru a lot of research on the net, the boys at Carbatec were fantastic, I made the router wing, the whole set up is great.

Hi both - Great timing, I've also just come into possession of an old TS-222.
It was delivered dismantled, but I have seen it in working condition. Will be a project to clean it up and rebuild.
Very interested in a new fence or any pics/tips from you guys about setting it up.
