Thread: Hinge setup advice ?

greetings - I am pulling my hair out trying to set up some Hettich fast assembly hinges.
Its not that they are difficult to use rather I can't seem to get my head around the cup setup.
I am using 0 degree cranking hinges with an opening angle of 110 degrees, the cabinet side is 32mm thick and will have a very small reveal say 2-4 mm.
I know the door overlay is large - around 29mm and will strike the cabinet side when opened however if the trailing edge of the door is beveled it will misses the cabinet side when it opens to 90 degrees.
My problem is that try as I might I can not workout the cup hole placement - my work bench has a stack of mdf with cup holes drilled and mockup doors fitted but none of them are placed correctly.
Experience tells me that there must be a formula that dictates the set out however try as I might I can't find it.
Maybe an experienced cabinet maker can give me a heads up on this - I have the Hettich dvd manual but it only deals with cabinet sides up to 19mm thick - I am beginning to think I may need a different hinge to cope with the large overlay?

Just realised that I posted in wrong forum Sorry.
Also solved problem .... needed different hinge as normal ones do not handle anything over 18 mm.
