castors
Gents,
I am over trying to get Carbatec to stock the assemble-it-youself wheel kits for heavy machines. They are always "Stocked out -coming soon". They are also bloody expensive. Does anyone have a more economical suggestion for bits that I can source readily? Some of my saws etc are too heavy for me to lift onto a base once it is assembled. I will have to work out a jack arrangement.
cheers
Kevin

I just picked up a pallet jack from Supercheap Auto yesterday (20% off sale) for $240. I won't have to borrow my next door neighbour's anymore now. What with all the benches, pallets for stock and offcuts as well as the machines this is a lot cheaper than trying to put wheels under everything that needs to be moved. Just a matter of putting some appropriately spaced skids under the machines. The jack is rated to 2500kg SWL and is very stable so I think it will probably outlast pretty much all the machines.

I use an 2.5ton engine crane in my shed, would work a treat with machinery IMHO.
Been using it to lift off 600Kg packs of crapiarta off the back of me ute!
Old seat belts make good lifting slings.(make sure there in good nick first...)....................................................................
