Hoover Wall Mount Wet/Dry Vac
I just picked up this from Supercheapauto. My ShopVac 20 burnt its motor yesterday and this new one has not disappointed me. It has better suction, a much longer hose and the wall mount suits me to the ground. It also comes with many accessories. The bonus is that the connections are standard and interchangeable with the ShopVac. The main attachment to the unit is 2" in diameter which made it a straight swap in/out to the cyclone I have attached to it. The only downfall is it does not have a power tool outlet but that doesn't worry me too much as the unit is 2hp and I am not sure it would cope with a router or the like running off the same outlet. Supercheap currently have them at $179 apparently on special, down from $249 but to be honest I didn't verify it.
NB. No affiliation to Supercheap. Just a happy customer thus far!!

I looked at these things a couple of months ago , it looked ideal for my use. Then it was advertised for $150, I delayed and the price went to $250. I have just ordered on online.
Thanks for the heads up!

Good one. I am sure you'll be happy with it. I have installed mine and have to get down to Bunnings tomorrow to sort out how I am going to hang all that extra hose!!
