Need ideas on beautifying a plastic & steel vegie garden
OK, technically an aquaponic system. As pictured below:
I need ideas on beautifying the whole thing so that it doesn't look agricultural and fit in with a modern house. It will be located right next to the alfresco entertaining area.
Some of the dimentions of this are;
Stand: 2.2m long x 1.2m wide
Round Tank: 1.7m diameter
What I had in mind is to clad it all round with something like bamboo screening or wood decking. Bearing in mind that the tank will hold edible fish, and the grow bed is for edible vegies - so nothing that will contaminate the system.
Now, for many questions:
1. Is there something more durable than bamboo screening?
2. Is there something cheaper than timber decking as I don't need it so strong
3. I really need ideas on how to stick blocks of wood (so that I can screw/fix the cladding over) to the side of the plastic tanks. Would Liquid Nails be suitable?
Any other ideas or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

could you just build a frame around it and not connected directly to it and affix whatever cladding (bamboo screening?) to that? Though probably steer clear of treated pine even if it doesn't come in direct contact with the water....
