Identification please
I have been given a box of bits and pieces, one of which has been marked " Jitta ". Is this an Oz timber?
Thanks, Shirley

Don't be upset for not getting any replies... at least you did not get the nasty "google it yourself" ones, probably because you are a lady...
Given that I am curious, I looked it up for myself, so might as well tell you. "Jitta' is the Aboriginal name given to Halfordia Scleroxila, a hard wood used for making swords and torches.
Cheers

Thanks so much. Not worried about lack of replies. Why didn't I think of Google?
Cheers Shirley
