    Default Interstate Machine Transport

    Hi All, Looking to purchase some large woodwork machinery in Melb and need to get it sent to Perth (400kg Table Saw). Advice or good Tx company , Thanks again, Dig

    If a new purchase let the seller organise it. Their rates would be better and they would have a contracted carrier. Make sure it is insured and inspect it really carefully on receipt before you sign for it, any damage note it on the drivers paper work.

    Hare and Forbes put me onto a specialist machine transporter, and I also found a mob in melbourne, I think they were interstate towing or interstate transport. Machinery is a specialist area. As suggested if it's a dealer your buying from ask them. Be sitting down when you get the quote. It was a grand Melbourne to Brisbane, I wouldn't be surprised at $1500 to Perth.

    Your right about the need to sit down Damian, will let you know how it turns out. Unfortunately if the freight becomes too expensive then it will not be worth getting the machine from VIC. Dig...
