Introduction Hi Everybody
It is a pleasure to be invited to post on this Forum.
I see you don't use real names, so i hesitate to thank the inviter
personally.
Some of you may know me from SMC over here in the colonies.
For those who don't, I am just a Finish Carpenter in a niche market.
I became tired of making a living in the mundane trim another condo biz.
Started a company with my Father, who turned 82 on feb 2 and have been
doing rather well with it. We make Bars.
Mr. Lucas of Woodshopdemos has graciously posted some of our work here.

I look forward to hanging here.

This may come up as a duplicate post, "cause I am a ignorant murican,
but when I tried before, well I had a message that I was posting to a invalid thread.
Silly me but wouldn't I have to post it first before it became invalid?

Welcome Per.
I am aware of some of your fine work on SMC, especially that awesome bubinga bar fit out. Aren't threads on the Domino good for an old fashioned pre-school tussle?

Hei Per.
You can’t beat a good Scandinavian carpenter. I worked with my old man for years, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to get away from “the mundane trim another condo, frame another house” biz, although I have done some reasonably impressive work over the years, when faced with a challenge.
These forums certainly have their share of skilled craftsmen so you’ll be in good company.

Welcome Per, Our custom kitchen cabinet work was done by a Finnish carpenter. The skill with which he could fit cabinets accurately and squeeze what looked like the impossible into the complex spaces he had available was most impressive. He also introduced me to vertical drawers, and added touches that gave cabinet work that something above the average.
Look forward to erading your posts.

Thanks Fellas for the warm welcome.
But, and I am not being modest when I say what I do is not
beyond the scope of anyone who hasn't collected a few tools
and some knowledge. For instance what we do isn't like chair building.
Commission a chair from us, you are gonna love your 30 foot picnic bench.
Because I know how to build one of those.
Another for instance, below is a shot of one of our standard residential bars.
After your first glance you will realize there is nothing to it.
Except of course getting someone to pay for it.
So the real truth here is I am a average house carpenter who made some
good decisions.
