for Jemmy dado finger joints
Hi Jemmy,
I use a dado for cutting finger joints, I find it faster and a cleaner cut that the router.
I made a sliding jig with the front fence removable. This way you can have a selection of sizes that use regularly. I cut the timber at the width that I need and make the guide blocks to suit.. in this case the timber is 90mm wide with 10mm fingers The way that I use the jig is... place the timber to be cut against the 10mm guide block, pull the sliding jig to me cutting a slot, remove timber... slide jig to the back so the saw is under cover put the rabbit in the guide.. pull slide to cut .. repeat until the timber piece has all the fingers cut. to cut the mating side put the new piece of timber against the cut piece with the last finger in the guide. Hope this gives you an idea to work with.

Looks really neat. I must try it now I have a dado.
BTW, I like the blade cover - clever idea!"... it is better to succeed in originality than to fail in imitation" (Herman Melville's letters)
