    Anybody have any info on where I can buy a Jet benchvise over the counter in the Sydney area?

    Buckley's.

    Jet is imported by 'The Woodman Group' - who have informed me that they won't order any less than a container load of any one model of Jet equipment, so no clamps, vices etc. In Sydney they are 'Major Woodworking' at Padstow. Try your luck, they may have some samples or 'old' stock.

    Otherwise, much the same thing can be had in Sydney from Carbatec @ Auburn - just a different brand name, or a bit more up market, from Lie Neilson Australia on the net (they are in Adelaide).

    If you can't find one over the counter then Major Woodworing has the 7 and 9 inch vises on their website.

    The Jet 7" is one of the best buys in woodwork. They are a re-badged Record at a fraction of the price.

    Mat, Im not 100% sure, but 99% yes I have the 7" Jet (quick release) and its a cracker at $95
