Which jigsaw with the Triton jigsaw kit?
Greetings all,
I have the Triton jigsaw kit (Triton Tools | Triton | AJA300 | Jigsaw Kit) mounted on a Triton router table. The problem is that when I cut a plank of any thickness, like 18 - 20mm (ie like over a 1/2") the travel of the jigsaw blade takes the end of the blade down into the cut, under the surface, and out of the kit support that rests on the wood surface. If I'm cutting a curve the blade can then bend a bit and when it comes back up it hits the kit arm and throws it upwards with a great deal of drama and noise (well most of the noise is expletives issuing from my mouth, but still). Perhaps you have experienced the same problem.
So, can anyone recommend (a) a source of unbelievably long jigsaw blades or (b) an electric jigsaw with a short blade travel range and/or that mounts down real close to the job.
Thanks so much,
Dave

Dave,
You don't seem to have received any answers, possibly becasue you didn't post it to the Triton sub-forum. But you also didn't say how long your existing blade is, or what brand/model of jigsaw you have. Jigsaw blades generally come in two lengths - are you using the longer one?
