Default Job for a Drum Sander (I think)

I have some very nice rock maple offcuts that I would like to make a box out of but no matter how little I try to take off with a jointer or thicknesser the tear out is terrible

Is there some one out there with a drum sander that would be prepared to thickness it for me
There's less than 3kg so I could put it in a postbag. I would send a return postbag and funds for a carton of beer.
    Cheers,

    Howdya

I don't have a drum sander but don't let it stop you from sending me the rock maple.

I'm in Mundaring, W.A., if you happen to be on this side of the island, and I can do that for you as well. Just send me a PM if you like.

I wanted to give Brian (Wizened of Oz) the yeah for the day. He kindly offered to run my timber through his performax for me and when I finally got around to sending it, thicknessed it and got it back in the post same day. Now that's SERVICE.

Thanks for the kind words, John (and thank you too, Wongo).
But it really was not much trouble.
