How to join the mitre on outer door frame once it's installed?
Hi guys. I am totally new here. Seems like a wealth of knowledge...
I have been renovating the home, part of which involved placing an outer door lattice/frame on each door. At the corners they meet at 45degrees to each other thus a 90degree turn. I have nailed each to the door frame itself but on the joint there seems to be a small amount of play relative to each other. My thought was to just putty this area up and once coated with a couple of coats of paint it will remain still.
Anyone have better ideas?

You mean the architraves.
Try nailing a 40mm brad in from the outer side and about 20mm from corner of the architrave to pull the joint together. So that you don't split the timber drill a small hole (same or slightly smaller than the diameter of the nail) first through the edge grain but not into the end grain of the other piece. If that fails them use Selleys No More Gaps and paint.Experienced in removing the tree from the furniture

Far to fiddly, if your cuts a dead accurate, pre drill hole in vertical piece first, apply glue, hold faces flush then drive nail/brad. This is what the pro's do.
