Joining Legs to a coffee table
Hei Guys,
Thanks to the advice here I successfully biscuit jointed the timber for the cofee table I'm building. The joints came out pretty well and the joined timber is straight so I just have a boat load of sanding to do.
The table is two tier with each tier 560mm square and 19mm thick.
For legs I had planned to use 50mm wide lengths of the 19mm pine and join them to each layer using two 10mm dowels.
Do theses legs sound ok, and will the joining method be alright.
This is my first project of this nature so I would appreciate any advice or ideas anyone has to offer.
Cheers
Smidsy

you could buscuit join rails to connect your legs at the top and the screw through the rails into your top.
if you are making a square table it might look better with square legs 50-70mm square.

Dowels are far superior to biscuits for attaching legs.
Chunkier square legs will probably look better but 19mm legs could look good if they are shaped or splayed etc.
