what joint
hi,
making a storage cabinet out of edge laminated pine panels (18mm*450mm*1800mm).
doesnt need to be anything pretty but Im wondering whether doweled joints are the go for right angle joints, or do i just use a butt joint and screw em? im a bit worried about splitting the timber so close to the ends of the panels.
any thoughts are appreciated!
cheers

I'd be inclined to put say a 25 x 25 or 40 x 19 bit of pine in the corner and glue and screw each panel to that. Unless it has to look schmick this will give it a bit of extra strength. Good luck.

Depends on your abilities , but if you pre-drill screw holes , you would be ok, however the post above is very good advice, and will give the cabinet joints plenty of strength.
you can also get small brackets (plastic, for joining cabinet panels and they go inside the cabinet, and are not so noticeable .
have a look at your local hardware, or Bunnies.
