Joint Shadow line??
Hi Guys,
Attached is an image of a table. It has m&t joints with a 'shadowline' between the mating pieces.
I'm interested to know if this technique has a name, and secondly some ways how this might be achieved?
Cheers!

It almost certainly has a name, but a quick look in my Encyclopedia of Furniture making doesn't tell me. It is done by planing an arris on the leg and shoulder before assembly. It sometimes looks good in its own right, or can be used to hide a slightly uneven joint.
