Default My jointer blades are gummed up. Can anyone tell me the best way to clean them?

Will taking the gum off knock the blades out of alignment?

Default I am with Artme; oven cleaner

Agree with Artme....oven cleaner works a treat with my router bits, haven't tried it but would suspect it would work on your application too.

Happy to hear any other suggestions.

I'd be taking them out of the machine to do that. Probably need to be sharpened and reset anyway. The edge doesn't last forever after all.

Also make sure you clean the oven cleaner off, or it will keep cleaning until the is nothing left

Use non-caustic oven cleaner, such as Mr. Muscle.
And yes, take them out & get them resharpened while you're at it.

For the first time ever being lazy has payed off!
I went to the store lastnight & purchased the wrong type of oven cleaner, when I got home I couldn't be stuffed. Anyway back to the store today to get a non-caustic cleaner.

    Thanks for your input everyone.
