    Default kreg clamps

Have a Kreg right angle face clamp that I think is clapped.... the adjustment screw does not adjust or maybe its me..... I foll;owed this Youtube YouTube and at 1:12 he mentions a thumb screw ....granted this was for Automaxx clamp
well stuffed if it makes a difference.today I got off with it and tried various thicknesses and varieties of timber. I used a sheet of standard paper between the flat plate on clamp and timber in every case I could slide the timber out.

Now I recently used my tax refund at Carba in Adelaide, and knowing (?) the quality of Kreg products did not keep my receipt .

    what are my options
I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

If the purchase is that recent, take it back. Assuming you can demonstrate that the clamp doesn't work I'd be surprised if there would be a problem.

so yours are the standard style kreg clamps? can post a picture. I adjust mine at the end of the handle. they work along the same principle as vise grip.

These are different than mine which are adjusted in the old fashion way. I suggest that you have two avenues, both based on the premise that the product is fit for purpose, regardless whether the warranty has expired or not (which is what you use the receipt for). In Australia and probably in the US, there is a guarantee that comes with the product, which requires the product sold to be fit for purpose.

    1. Take it back to Carbatec and tell them the approx date that you purchased it and also tell them that it is not fit for purpose.
    2. Failing that, contact Kreg in the US direct. They will probably send you a replacement.

    Good luck.

Hey Tony. From my dealings with Carbatech here in Melbourne they are pretty good mate. If you can personally get to them and show them your problem they will either replace it due to being faulty, or show you what you may be doing wrong (just saying). If you give them the date you bought them they will have your purchase stored electronically on their system and they can bring it up.
    Cheers.
