Default Kreg jig for chair making

I will be making a couple of chairs for the grandkids who are seven and nine. The chairs are to go with a desk/table and will have to last a few years. Will the Kreg system provide the required strength for these chairs. I am trying not to go down the path of having to use mortise and tennon joinery for this project.

Visit Festool. They once had a jig, designed locally, for a bandsaw that worked with compound curves and other things. I remember being impressed with it tho not ever used it.

No, I am still making a lot of stuff. I don't post them.

I am making 8 chairs from solid Rosewood. I am using the Maloof joint to hold the seat and the legs together.

Thanks Lignum. You are very kind.

How did you make these back slats? Are they laminated? I am laminating mine. 4 slats per chair, 32 slats all together.

Chairs are such a bugger to make. They are hard to make but you can't charge too much. (like <$1,000 )

Solid timber using the bandsaw jig. Took 20 minutes to make the jig, then 50 - 60 seconds to make perfect copies of each splat.
