Kreg Screws
Hi
Has anyone in Australia found any screws that work well with the Kreg pocket hole system? The reason is simply its a royal pain in the a#@$ to schlep to Carbatec when Bunnings/Masters are lierally round the corner.
thanks

Avoid the temptation to use bugle headed screws like gyprock screws as they will penetrate further than you want and will, in many cases, split your timber.

The Kreg screws should be thought of as a clamping device, rather than a screw. That being said, the Kreg screws are also designed to pre-drill the pilot hole for the screw.
A round head or truss head screw could be substituted but the convenience and stability of the Robertson (Square) drive would be lost.
