laminating
someone recently told me that laminating is very easy. I've tried to find it on the net but have only found one skimpy 'how to' page.
Does anyone know where more 'in-depth' info can be found?

G'day Arthur
Your local library should have a book that contains info on the topic.

G'day Arthur
Are you interested in laminating as in stack laminating (joining) timbers, etc. to give you a built up shape or bench top etc? Or are you, as Rod suggests talking about applying a timber veneer or laminex type surface over a corestock of chipboard or some other material?
There is also laminating as in flooring and as in a plastic film over paper, and a few other types that have nothing what so ever to do with timber.
More info may bring more help.

Oops! Sorry, I knew what I was thinking but forgot there are many types of laminating.
What I need is to laminate wood about 19mm thick and about 100mm wide to get a greater width.

Gooday.
Here a few sites that may help:
http://www.eximcorp.org/Resources/Re...glossaryl.html
http://www.skillspublish.com.au/awwbackindex97.htm
http://forests.org/ric/good_wood/wb_...#anchor1203580
http://www.cabinetmaking.co.uk/laminating.htm
Your best bet is the skillpublish site as it lists which edition it is in. You may be able to purchase this.
Failing that ring me on 03 5998 3614, and I will try to help. We laminate all bigger sizes up to 300x300. and I can tell you how to go about it. I speak better than I type
