Laminating an Old Stereo??
Hi All
I have no idea what I'm talking about here, but I have an old stereo from the 70's that still works well. Problem is it's UGLY!
I have stripped off all of the old veneer, back to the MDF board underneath. It has revealed a perfect smooth surface for covering. I'd now like to cover it in a glossy white laminate to modernise it!
Anyone know where I'd buy thin sheets of laminate or even contact paper to cover it (in Sydney region)? Is it even called laminate????
Or does anyone know someone who does this for a living so I can pay someone to do for me?
Lole

Yes laminex!! Thanks for that. Bunnings supply it but have to order and can take 2 weeks. Guess that might be my only option though.
If anyone knows what type of tradesmen would do this kind of work (covering stereo for me) would love to hear from you

Try Home Hardware or Mitre 10 they stock the plain white handy sheets or go see a cabinet maker near by and see if they do the job or sell you a bit
another source is Caravan supplies

..try some second hand building supply dealers. Bunnings, Mitre 10 etc... won't really have what you want or it'll be around $100 a sheet you should be able to get laminex 1300 x 1300 for around $30 or so a sheet.
