A library with a twist
When sitting in the doctors reception I picked up the latest issue of the Readers Digest to whttling away the time, when I came across a feature article on a Tool concept that is currently running USA.
The concept is a Tool Library, and for a annual sum you can borrow a range of power tools, plumbing tools and those all the odd tools that you do not have to do all those DIY jobs that the one who wares the pants will find for you ( now you have no excuse). The concept is running in a number of cities across America .
For that enterprising someone in Aus and are interested you are able to read up on the concept by going to the web site www.westphillytools.org
I can just see an off shoot of Carba- Tec or why not Woodwork Forums ?????

Nice idea but it would need to be carefully run to ensure any damage to the tools was rectified and adequate training given to those borrowing the tools.

I know La Trobe Uni in Bundoora used to run a tool library for students. It was quite handy for borrowing things like mowers and such.
