    Default Lightweight Coffee Table

The seed of my loins has bought himself a hardwood dinner table which was made in Asia The dimesions of the tabletop are 1500 x 1500 x 80 mm thick. The thing is made up from off various sections measuring between 100-200 mm glued up to make the 1500 width
I have been lumbered with the job of making him a coffee table of similar construction and look (rough)
Can anyone help with the sourcing of timber in NSW
I would like 8 pieces of 200x100x1600 The timber should be seasoned and the preferred species are Spotted Gum Or Stringy Bark

It's a good way of using up offcuts. I'm sure someone will steer you to a solid furniture manufacturer where you may rummage through their bin.
Be careful with spotted gum - it's a burger to glue. You need to clean it with acetone or metho immediately before gluing.
