Default Use for lining boards ?

After having recovered some 500+ lineal meters of internal lining boards from a circa 1840 Beechworth (Victoria) house, and spending 3 days denailing them, 'she who should be obeyed' has now decided that they won't be used - and is going to have the walls plastered.

Timber - probably Baltic Pine. Badly cupped in most cases.
Full of nail holes, and caked thick with paint (probably that toxic lead stuff too).

Many of the tongues & grooves were damaged by the builder who ripped them out, however there's still plenty that are OK.

Can anyone think of a good use for them ?

    Regads, Greg.

If there is only paint on one side you could use the other side showing as backing for bookcases, cupboards etc.

The words distressed finish come to mind.

Distressed??? They sound positively peturbed to me.
