There's no dressing attachment that I know of. I just popped the cover off the side and hit it with a normal dressing stick.
The best way to grind is a light cut and fast.

THANKS....These Picture are great as I am in a shop with an S50. and no built in grinder.

Good point about the metal dust into the machine. Could you have also just packed yo the grinder to better match the blade?
Thanks again....this forum works still after all this time.

I have a copy somewhere of the manual that Enfield Guy sent me. You are welcome to copy it if you are in my neck of the woods. 25minutes south of Hobart.

    Hi,
Thanks for a quick reply...I'm up at Ulverstone ... 25 min from Hobart....Huonville??....have worked in Dover so I do know a bit of the south . I daily ride and enjoy a touring motorbike so would be a good reason to come down south

Congrats on your new toy, it's probably the last thicknesser you'll buy

The site seems to be down, not sure if it's temporary or permanent. I'll try to photograph the manual and post it here over the next few days
