Default A more little Space in the workshop

Last year Sue picked up a little gem . This afternoon I got stuck in with some assistance from Sue and I am glad to say its moved residence for now and well on its way to being completed............just two more to do.

Lots of sanding to remove gaustly Red Oxide paint from the wheel and main top braces.

Wheel repaired, cracks, splitting out of balance and round will never be perfect.

    Bottom back footman brace repaired.

New feet made they will need a bit of trimming yet.

    New pins whittled.

Hi Mark yes at last making in roads.

We have the flyer but when I was first checking it all out 1/2 fell off in my hands and I noted its been glued before poorly. So its either use the old shaft and make a whole new flyer Or Do a damn good solid repair. The flyer is unusual as there are no hooks just a peg is used and its moved along as required took some working out and searching for that one but I even found a video its on the Blog.

As for Bobbins we have one also needs repair but I have been instructed by the higher authority new ones are required also one Bobbin is not enough They are tiny in comparison to any normal wheel.
