I had been planing to make a box for my Festool track alignment tool for over two years and while I did actually start it late last year, the actual build did not commence until March this year when I had time to spare.
The only part I had done earlier was to try and rout with a template the lettering which was to become the top. I was not happy with the result, see last image, and also had a try free hand. Another idea was to use a print out stuck down and then rout over that. In the end that became the front. Sides are attached to front and back with a rebate and tennon and glue. the bottom is 3 mm whytecote in a groove. The finish is just varnish. The inside is just lined with foam to protect the tool.

    Default Lockdown job

In February SWMBO bought a chest freezer and then went mad stocking up for the lockdown we now have. Having time on my hand and plenty of 16mm melamine sheet, I bought some brackets and made up some shelves for her. The first above the chest freezer, and then two more for our small narrow laundry. It did not take her long to fill the shelves. In the case of the laundry - before I had a chance to take pictures.
All the shelves have the front corners rounded (two litre paint can is the radius) and then edged where required.

Default A couple of resurrection jobs

I bought this compressor at the scrap metal yard for $20, it needed new capacitors but it was easier and only marginally dearer to fit s new motor for $225, and it runs perfectly. 19C6CFB9-DE57-4DB4-8637-D86A2E3C2AFF.jpeg
Also, I picked up this milling machine, from a deceased estate, they were going to call the scrap merchant to take it, It runs perfectly, and just needed a clean up and oiling, Iím looking for tooling for it now. Should be a nice little handy machine. 4FE9775A-5333-4EAC-AB46-52A05D177E5F.jpegF77B35D4-E3C7-435E-8AC5-9942AD207909.jpeg

After 10 Higgins in a row I'm about over him. All much the same. Also restricted to what I have at home now.
