I would also like to find a good supplier of fittings such as handles, hinges, glass door slides etc. I know that Bunnings has a lot of stuff, but they tend to only go up to a certain level of quality.

at Marrickville are a good source of timbers (Apologies, I cannot get my wife's laptop to behave). Also Trend Timbers at Mulgrave and Greg Ward from this BB.

For your fittings try www.elraco.com they'll be delivered to your door, but they may take a few days being silly season an all.
